To paraphrase the exquisite Ann Richards, Poor Mitt...

he was born with a silver foot in his mouth.

Every ounce of my training as a shrink says to me that this man does NOT want to be president. Not in the real sense of the word, where you go to work every day and slave away fighting to get legislaiton passed and make life and death decisions and be in front of people who don't think you're God's gift every day.

You can be entitled and still have the political savvy not to constantly say things that will cause you nothing but trouble. He's so lacking in that ability that I believe he's trying to lose, whether he'd consciously believe that or not.

He doesn't know what it's like to really take charge and he doesn't understand how 'work' works because he's never lost a job and faced the consequences of blowing your gig and being broke because of it. He should be frightened.

around on a daily basis, I doubt they'd last until 11:00 a.m. This is a job for a young, healthy and vibrant young man or woman. It's a grueling schedule and one that requires a personality that embraces compromise and fairness. Romney lacks in all...

Romney gets to play President. He thinks that Ryan has the intellect to do the job.

My theory is that the GOP establishment told him that being president was all fun and games - welcoming Super Bowl champions, throwing out the first pitch, etc. The serious stuff would be handled by Dick Cheney and Co. This dawned on me while watching a clip of him pardoning a turkey before Thanksgiving. The body language was the real key.

Reality set in after the "election" and he quickly learned how much he would hate the job. He just assumed everyone would fall in line and do whatever Uncle Dick told them to do. Imagine how much he'd have hated it if the press hadn't been such lap dogs.
