The area described in this article is a nearly all white area of Chicago with a heavy concentration of police officers as residents.

8. Interesting that they choose to spell it that way. Not even trying to disguise the origin.

Except for in French and English, which spell it "Europe," most of the rest of the continent uses the Latin "Europa," except the Slavic languages, led by Russian, which uses the "v." In Russian, the "e" is palatalized, so Европа is pronounced "Yevropa" in Russian, but the origin of the spelling is clear.

In Russian class, we used to cite a nonsense rhyme to the tune of Frère Jacques in Russian:
