No link as I just read about it in my local paper under the headline "Fox News Faces Backlash from All Sides over Pirro". the article outlines how CAIR, The council On American-Islamic Relations, has called for a boycott of sponsors over her outrageous on air comments about US Rep Ilhan Omar's wearing of a traditional head scarf. They're also demanding Tucker Carlson be fired because... well you know.
Interesting that the piece cites a push back from the lobby group "Act For America" in the form of a letter writing campaign demanding Pirro be reinstated immediately. Also interesting is that The Southern Poverty Law Center defines them as a hate group. It's perhaps amusing that, in their defense, AFA calls the SPLC a hate group (I'm rubber and you're glue).
Act For America (and Pirro herself) is using the defense that she never called Omar unAmerican, but was instead just opening a debate on the issue, a discussion. What seemed stark to me is that Pirro wasn't having a discussion, she was simply making a statement in her monologue. There was no "debate" on Pirro's show, and there never is. It's pure hate filled propaganda without opposing views.
Fox news is what it is, but allowing it's personalities to get up on a soapbox daily and brainwash weak minded racists into action goes beyond the civility required by any news agency. Perhaps Fox News could "open a debate" on why America is so divided. Bring Hannity, Pirro, and Carlson along as the poster children.
