After wailing about the Democrats all becoming socialists, today he is going to a tank factory to applaud the the creation of the jobs

When the government buys products produced by a private company, that isn’t socialism. If the government owned the company and produced the tanks itself, that would be socialism.

given the degree of confusion surrounding the topic, this is one issue where i don't find much fault with our idiot president.

having a private company fill government orders is not socialism. it's not even "state capitalism".

7. I sincerely doubt it but I also don't think it matters how he defines it.

For him it's not about the definition, it's about what serves his interests. So he and his make it whatever they want.
The Oxford dictionary and Encyclopedia Britannica say about the same thing which state that Socialism is "A political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole." Just sayin'.
