"one of the biggest ever". Thank God and Google, I can say that in electoral college "landslides" the list includes 16 elections from 1912 to 1996 and none of them include that asshole's numbers.
Again, there is NOTHING about which he will not lie.

What a sick ticket he is! He has such low self esteem and self confidence that he has to build himself up with known and provable lies! Sheesh!

(3,666 posts)Because he KNOWS that it is his only way of retaining the Presidency.
He now knows he has no chance of winning the popular vote this time around. He and his minions are working assiduously to exploit the EC. He would love to win the popular vote, don't get me wrong. But he is not planning on it. He is planning a strategy that will enable him to win the EC despite losing the popular vote again.
That's why he plays to his base more and more and more. He MUST keep them completely AROUSED. Screw the rest of the country. It doesn't matter if NO ONE in California or New York votes for him as long as he gets to 270.
You have to remember it is theoretical possible to win the EC with just 23% of the popular vote.
Trump takes ENORMOUS comfort in that fact.

(3,167 posts)What the Democrats have to do is keep their eyes on the prize, and don't let these day-to-day distractions get to us. We have to keep in mind that we absolutely have to win Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania in 2020, and we need to win with comfortable margins so that their cheating won't matter. Jesus, it makes me SO mad to think that he is in office because of a 77,000 vote margin in those three states, while Hillary was beating his ass by 3 million votes. This time, I want the popular vote to be even MORE of a blowout.

(3,666 posts)AND STILL WIN THE PRESIDENCY thanks to squeaking by in places like Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan again.
There would a small silver lining in such an outcome, I think. People would start to see that the EC is INSANELY anti-democratic.
