Joe Lieberman, probably the biggest piece of shit that the Democrats have ever produced or put on a national ticket since the Buchanan-Breckenridge ticket in 1856.
He's supposed to be John McCain's best friend? I have scoured the internet in an attempt to find a Lieberman response, but I can't find one. If somebody here at DU can find one, I'll be grateful and maybe retract some my criticism.
But, until then, Lieberman is more of an asshole and a coward than he already is if he remains silent.

The topic is not whether we love John McCain to bits as a human being, but whether the remaining two of the "Three Amigos" who used to love each other to bits (so they said) have a shred of decency left for their old pal who can't defend himself on account of being dead.
Senator McCain served his country his whole life, as did his fathers before him. I don't have to like him as a man to say that. He deserves to be called an American hero.
Trump has served no higher cause than himself in his whole life, as did his fathers before him. I don't even have to know about the whorehouse to say Trump is not fit to shine McCain's shoes.
But Lieberman and Graham were best friends with McCain. What happened to them that they are silent while Trump dances on McCain's grave?
And what on earth does this have to do with the Clintons, who have also spent a life in service to the nation, and the planet for that matter?

(8,652 posts)Lieberman was an opportunist then, he's a has-been now.
As he has not commented yet, his righteous indignation is already tainted. He's weighing his expression of support for McCain and respect for his memory with the personal impact of the highly likely anti-Lieberman insults from trump.
