Trump retweets QAnon conspiracy theorist, via Larry the Cable Guy, to slam the TSA

By Tim Elfrink March 20 at 4:08 AM

From a QAnon conspiracy theorist to actor James Woods to comedian Larry the Cable Guy to the leader of the free world. Thus travels information in the age of Twitter and President Trump, who took a late-night swing at a familiar punching bag — the Transportation Security Administration — via a nearly two-year-old video spread by a character on the far fringes of the Internet.

“Not a good situation!” Trump tweeted on Tuesday just before midnight about the clip of a young man subjected to a very thorough pat-down by a TSA agent.

Trump’s critique of the TSA, an agency he has lashed out at repeatedly on the campaign trail, is hardly extreme. The video he retweeted garnered millions of views and sparked outrage back in March 2017 after a woman named Jennifer Williamson filmed her son, who she said had a sensory processing disorder, at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. But the source who belatedly brought the video to Trump’s attention, through a winding path of Twitter celebrities, is likely to raise new questions about where a president fond of spreading conspiracy theories gets his information.

The video was reshared on Monday by a Twitter account called Deep State Exposed, which is operated by Jeremy Stone, a follower of the QAnon conspiracy theory. Stone’s twitter bio includes the phrase “WWG1WGA,” shorthand for “Where We Go One We Go All,” a rallying cry for the bizarre theory that ties together the Pizzagate conspiracy and a supposed “deep state” plot to control American politics. Stone soon added a follow-up tweet to the viral video claiming that “TSA goes out of their way to hire high school dropouts with an inclination for sexual perversion. It’s mind control!!!”

And he basically said, in so many words, that he is very liberal. Grew up in the Northeast and now lives in Wisconsin. No funny accent, no plaid, no chew. That is all schtik.

Usually I get a redneck conservative vibe from him. So why is he tweeting to James Woods? We know the kind of people that he tends to attract. Politics does make for strange bedfellows.

The accent is based on his college roommates who were from Texas and Georgia.

He's actually from Nebraska and lives there now. Not sure where the poster got his info, but it's inaccurate. He does a lot of local stuff in Lincoln and with NU's college football program, and it's kind of funny to see him out-of-character.

I have no idea why he's retweeting James Woods. I would hope he knows the guy is insane....

My summer pleasure is to sit on the beach streaming the Sirius XM Comedy Greats channel through my earbuds. Last summer I tuned into a new program, Larry the Cable Guy Weekly Roundup. He and a guest discuss the past weeks political news.

I lasted about 5-10 minutes before changing channels because it sounded and felt like I was listening to one of the many right wing hate shows. Week after week I checked and he was definitely a Trumper who dialed up the hate on Hillary or any other Democrat.

I'm going to assume he puts on the "I'm a Liberal" schtick so he doesn't have to defend his right wingness to his so-called fans.

He lives in Lincoln, NE, on a farm.

Only reason I know this is I lived there for a couple of decades and still have friends/family there. He does a lot of stuff locally, and it's kind of amusing to see him out-of-character.

And, yes, it's an act as he's noted frequently. The accent came from his roommates who were from Texas and Georgia.

He's also really good friends with Lewis Black, which I find amusing.

Edit: his wikipedia page has details re: his background in NE and FL and his current residence there in NE.

I performed a fireworks display at his house in Wisconsin. Probably owns a number of places.

I did make a mistake on Connecticut. I was confused. He originally started his various bits by calling into radio morning shows. He used to be a regular on WCCC in Hartford. He never lived there.

He has made millions from "Larry." No matter what he isn't going to come out and say he's really a liberal. That would cost him a lot of money. I work in country radio. I know, to some degree, many of the biggest country stars. Most are liberals. But they don't dare breathe a word of it publicly for obvious reasons. AKA Dixie Chicks.
