The day is coming. The trump will no longer be...anything other than under arrest. Ahhh, spring.
I sometimes feel like I’ve been holding my political breath since he became...well, whatever it is he is as president.
But the moment will arrive when he is no longer president. It will be a wave of wonder and stress dissipation. Sort of like taking a hot cleansing shower after wrestling with the filthiest pig ever. Not to disrespect pigs, I have admiration for their intelligence, not so much his.
He will be gone soon. Think about that. Our national nightmare can begin to end. The wounds may never completely heal. But we can learn, reflect and contain so that evil never again takes charge our society and it’s most important controls.
Ahhh, a political spring. It seems to me to be appropriate to parallel that with today and it being the first day of spring. We have endured a harsh winter, spring is most welcome. I can almost feel that first refreshing breath of both.
I know it seems an endless, almost interminable and exhausting presidency. But it is going to end. America will regain its footing and will come out of this horror show of a presidency with a new realization of just how important participatory democracy is. How important fair, free and honest elections are. How necessary America is to the stability of the world at large. There are NO shithole nations. NATO is a gift to peaceful conflict resolution and prevention.
He will be gone. Spring is here today. Breathe.
