Boeing: US orders review of 737 Max licence to fly

19 March 2019

The US government has ordered a review of the way Boeing's 737 Max aircraft got its licence to fly. It comes after two crashes in five months, amid suggestions from experts that there were "clear similarities" between the disasters. Transport secretary Elaine Chao has asked the US inspector general to audit the aircraft's certification process.

Reuters has reported that the US Justice Department has also begun preliminary inquiries into the FAA's oversight of the Boeing aircraft.

Meanwhile, Europe and Canada said they would seek their own assurances over the safety of the aircraft, a move likely to complicate plans to get the aircraft flying again across the world.

European and Canadian regulators have typically tended to follow the FAA's lead.

The U.S. is a fascist nation, corporations and government are one, with corporations being in control.
Every Democratic candidate must pledge allegiance to corporate America, I read it here on DU. Every Democratic candidate must pledge allegiance to capitalism (fascism) or risk being called a Socialist. Every Democratic candidate must pledge an allegiance to capitalism, an allegiance to deregulate. We must pledge to allow Boeing to regulate itself. We have a serious problem with the Max 8-9 aircraft, it is causing Boeing stock to crash. We need to get those planes back in the air as soon as possible, Boeing has a bottom line to meet.

I listened to Trump yesterday in the Rose Garden give a campaign speech. He said that America will never be Socialist, will never be like Venezuela. Democratic candidates need to get on board or risk being called Socialists, I heard it here too. We need to pledge to turn our country over to corporate America. We need to get behind more tax breaks for the rich and pay for it with cuts to Medicare, Medicaid, and SS.

Democratic candidates need to condemn Bernie Sanders and to condemn AOC. Democratic candidates need to grow a spine and run as Republicans, it's our only chance, 2018 was a fluke, an anomaly.
