Is it really? I mean yeah, the economy is not as good as we would like it but its come a long way from the hole Dumbya put us in. And what is Rmoney's experience with the economy? Yes - he made a shit ton of money (now safely stored away to be forever kept out of circulation in the US), but his technique is more like strip mining than sound economics.
So here is why I think the race is still close:
1. There is a large part of the US population who, whether they realize it or not, are racist.
2. There is a large part of the US population who honestly believe that voting for a Democrat is unpatriotic.
3. There is a large part of the US population who honestly believe that if reelected Obama will take away their guns.
4. There is a large part of the US population who honestly believe that Obama is Muslim and that voting for him would be going against God.
5. There is a large part of the US population who honestly believe that Rmoney will end all abortions in the US and that will please God.

This is what we are up against. Passionate, misinformed, scared, voters. They believe every lie sent to them via email, facebook, twitter, etc...they believe every word that their pastor says...they believe every word they hear from Fox News and the 700 club.

If it weren't for these false fears,beliefs and underlying racism, we'd be up by 20+ points - if not more.

And that can't be hitting them over the head with Facts. Somehow we need to ease them into their own "age of enlightenment".
