I don't think he makes mistakes like this on purpose; I just think he doesn't care and doesn't really know if something is correct or not. One of his repeated errors that really bugs me is "I feel badly." That's like saying, "I feel sadly" or "I feel happily." Then his words get repeated endlessly and this misuse is drilled into our heads. I also have a theory that he refers to himself as "Trump" because he isn't sure when to use I or me.
