Calcium is supposed to be in the bones, not the blood. That might be it. Hekate Mar 2019 #6

Sorry to hear that.

I thought calcium was good for bones. Is there a "too much" level also?

the latest thing doctors are looking at. Maybe a lot of us aren't getting enough sunshine? The light from a TV or monitor is not a good replacement.

My rheumatologist suggested I take an additional 1000 units a day.

I’m taking 6000 units a day. My doc said the further north you live the more likely you might be deficient.

Tomorrow you'll hopefully have the info you need and also get the infusion. As you say, moving toward being normal again. Hope you're sleeping now.

and I take one pill a week

Also, they are talking about changing from Remicade to Scalara as the remicade even with the solucorteff doesn't last long enough.

If they do that, it might be injection at home. That would be awesome.

I wouldn't have to miss days at work and my spouse could to the injection.

I'll be hoping Stelara (?) works for you. Sounds as if it could be...liberating.

to schedule my life around that every 5 weeks. I think I'd be resenting that relentless requirement to be there. No wonder you want out from under that. And someday you'll leave it all in the past.

and during the school year I have to take 1/2 days every 5 Friday afternoon.

Usually I end up in deduct because of it.

I take my tablet loaded up with concerts of bands such as Eagles, Doobie Brothers, Def Leppard and others and put in my earphones and put a pillow over my head and try to sleep.

It was from a long battle with diabetes. The final straw was calcium being released into the blood stream. I forget what they called it. That was after most eye sight was lost, multiple amputations, regular infections making their way into bones, etc. I had never heard of the calcium problem until then.
