(86,843 posts)We have a wannabe mob boss in the WH and now that sh*t's hitting the fan, some witnesses might need to disappear real quick. Either that or some other gang rivalry.
Since "Frankie" was heavily involved in opioid and heroine trafficking and the manufacturers are being scrutinized, ya just never know. We'll find out eventually, I guess.

(16,420 posts)PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) The man who was gunned down Sunday morning in what authorities are examining as a possible gangland slaying was an associate of a former Rhode Island mob boss, the Target 12 Investigators have learned.
Napoloen Andrade, 37, of Central Falls, was shot in the shadow of the Pawtucket halfway house where he was staying. Andrade who has a lengthy criminal history was wrapping up a sentence for taking part in a 2010 Connecticut home invasion where the victim was a 78-year-old associate of the Gambino crime family.
Andrade previously worked as a bouncer at Providence-area strip clubs with ties to organized crime. Retired R.I. State Police Col. Steven O'Donnell, a veteran mob investigator, said Andrade was an associate to former mob boss Luigi "Baby Shacks" Manocchio.
"He's an enforcer; he's the type of person when he shows up at your door you're going to what youre asked to do," O'Donnell said. "It was unusual to have a mob boss trusting someone outside the mob family. That relationship developed over years and Louie Manocchio trusted him."

(86,843 posts)Looks like somebody got offed and then there was a response. It's a very complex network in that neck of the woods. I worked for some sketchy folks for short spell who had connections in Pawtucket. It was not uncommon to be driving down the Interstate outside that city to find a vehicle completely engulfed in flames in the breakdown lane. That was decades ago but the employers were definitely involved and I didn't feel good about working for them so I moved on.
Never liked any of the jobs I had in the northeast. I came out here and stayed.
Sounds like a good move.

"Frank Cali is a nephew of Sicilian mafiosi John Gambino, Joseph Gambino & Rosario Gambino, & has close ties to the once powerful Sicilian Mafia family led by Salvatore Inzerillo. Cali is also a great-nephew of Bonanno crime family mobsters Giovanni Bonventre & Vito Bonventre...
...Cali was also related to Gambino boss Paul Castellano." This Paul Castellano:

I remember Joe Velachi testified in Congress in 1963 and I think was the first member of the Mafia to do so ... I was 7 but already knew there were gangsters. Don't know how or why I knew about them, just seems like I always knew there was an Al Capone and a Lucky Luciano. My dad was a history teacher so maybe that's why I had heard about them.

(16,420 posts)[div class="excerpt"]Cops eye link to Gene Gotti in Staten Island mob hit that whacked Gambino crime boss: sources
Just-out-of-jail Gene Gotti released from prison six months ago after serving 29 years for dealing heroin may be under the watchful eye of authorities looking for links to the brutal execution of a reputed Gambino gangster, sources told the Daily News Thursday.
Cops are chasing down several theories over who was behind the bloody assassination of Frank (Franky Boy) Cali, an alleged Gambino boss including whether Gotti, the younger brother of late Gambino godfather John Gotti and a capo before going to prison, is now looking to claw back his stake in the family business.
... snip
Calis family didnt cooperate with police requests to review the surveillance video captured on their home security system forcing cops to get a warrant to review the recordings, sources told The News.
His execution ignited fears of a civil war within the Gambino family sparked by the 73-year-old Gottis return or a mob war, if it turns out Cali was killed by a member of a rival family.
Its total speculation, a source said about a possible Gotti link. But its also something to look out for. Was Gene trying to reclaim some of his business and Cali wasnt going for it?
Investigators are looking at other angles as well: a rubout by Calis underlings or someone who had a personal beef with the Sicilian-born mobster.
... snip
Calis ties to the mob ran deep. His wife is the niece of Gambino capo John Gambino. His brother Joseph and brother-in-law Peter Inzerillo are reputed Gambino soldiers.

(16,420 posts)A suspect was in custody Saturday morning after his New Jersey arrest for the mob execution of reputed Gambino family boss Frank Cali, sources told the Daily News.
The unidentified person of interest was snatched up by the New York/New Jersey Regional Task Force three days after the mobster known as Franky Boy was murdered outside his Staten Island home, the sources said.
No other details were immediately available about the suspect or what led investigators to the man now in custody.
Cali, 53, was lured to his death when the killer staged a car crash, plowing a pickup truck into the gangsters parked Cadillac SUV outside Calis home around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday night, cops said.
