Trump weighs in on the "plane thing"

https://www.unilad.co.uk/life/trump-launches-bizarre-attack-on-planes-following-ethiopian-crash/

Donald Trump took to his favourite platform, Twitter, to launch a bizarre attack on planes following the crash in Ethiopia.

I don’t think we could have expected anything else from the POTUS, really.

Flight ET302, travelling from Addis Ababa in Ethiopia, to Nairobi in Kenya, crashed on March 10 just six minutes after taking off. The aviation disaster was the deadliest in Ethiopa’s history, killing all 149 passengers and eight crew members. It was the second Boeing 737 Max aircraft crash in less than five months.

Airplanes are becoming far too complex to fly. Pilots are no longer needed, but rather computer scientists from MIT. I see it all the time in many products.

Always seeking to go one unnecessary step further, when often old and simpler is far better. Split second decisions are needed, and the complexity creates danger.

All of this for great cost yet very little gain. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want Albert Einstein to be my pilot. I want great flying professionals that are allowed to easily and quickly take control of a plane!
