1. Most American institutions and policies

Have been racist and exclude large segments of our population. Most of us don’t see it, but people of color, do. It’s long past time Caucasians realize this. I may not agree with everything AOC says (so far she’s killing it), but I’m glad she’s saying it. She’s addressing vitally important issues we’ve been sweeping under the carpet for decades, even centuries. She’s lifting up that rug and making us look at the pile of dirt. Of course it isn’t pleasant, but we still need to address it and finally do something about it.

who've hated her from the day she won her primary, and want her brought down. Some have been honest enough to say so outright, or at least make their negative opinions of her very clear. Others hide behind statements like, "I was really starting to like her until I saw this on Twitter/Facebook/Whatever ... "
