The Desolate One (Trump) has crossed and destroyed every moral boundary there is. There are some lines that you cross that cannot ever be repaired completely.
For example, When Bush tortured people that forever made us a nation that tortured people. That can never be erased. My heart broke when I found out what Bush had done. I knew it was forever.
We have to remove Trump as soon as possible. Everyday he is in office is one day closer to the destruction of the idea of America.
It has been our morals, along with our laws that has made the idea of America possible.

(38,958 posts)Looking back to the Pre and Post Civil War Era, Jim Crow and alike. I'm not really sure about the moral fabric from the get-go.

(38,958 posts)however, I disagree with your conclusion. What we are seeing is certainly repugnant, but it hardly compares to the historical eras I mentioned in the previous post. We will get past the current era and life will go on, it will be different certainly (it always is so) but in most cases people do not draw their moral compass from 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

(58,785 posts)who live and guard it anyway. It and their kind are still and always with us. We need just enough moral fiber and smarts to look for the kind of honorable people who are looked up to and trusted by their peers.
