I would hate for people to be deprived of the spectacle that will be RethugliCON 2012.

Sorry AL and MS. I used to live in Miami so I've seen my share of tropical storms and hurricanes.

1) The eye looks a little closer to the west coast

2) Seems to be moving slower

If this holds, it looks like it will be approaching Tampa on Monday -- enough to be very disruptive, and the main impact would be on Tuesday.

But I guess they would be able to have some convention activities from Tuesday afternoon on. So those Republicans need to get to Tampa early and pick out a good hooker and case of booze to hunker down with.

Mobile floods easily. Even in a Cat 1 there will be a lot of rain.

While Isaac isn't necessarily a function of climate change, that certainly would be awkward to rail against climate change in the middle of a hurricane.
