But if you really want to explain it to them, the easiest way I've found is this: The day is 24 hours. When we move the clock back an hour, we do the same hour over again. That's 25 hours. When we move the clock forward, we skip an hour. That's 23 hours.

Either your an hour late or an hour early. Spring late Fall early - that's the one to remember.

And your three people will be walking around yawning for a few days.
*on edit--I just checked. It's March 31 here. Yay, three full weeks of only 6 hours of time difference with Dallas!

(18,869 posts)They wake me up at 4 so they can eat and go out. This morning Joey woke me up at 5:01. Now I can wake up at 5 instead if 4.
