Mike Pence brags about destroying the environment in Ohio,

This is just bizarre to me. Pence met with oil & gas lobbyists in Columbus Ohio where he cited rollbacks of environmental regulations as something worthy global recognition. Actually, what he was after was something he values much more than international acclaim, he was wrapping up financial support for the 2020 campaign.

Still, it just seems so surreal that one would wear these "accomplishments" as a badge of honor. It should be something he would spin to sound less damaging:

5. If you read the RW "news" or media sites, they used the word

environmentalist as a swear word and used with "dirty hippies." It's a curse word, a sneer, and implies a person or group to be despised. Dirty hippies are the enemy and if possible they would like to fire them from jobs, refuse services to them and send them to prison if possible.

My neighbor is one of these evangelicals. She moved into our neighborhood that is in a forest and a natural wildlife "protected" (sort of) area. She cut down ALL of the trees on her property because she didn't like the pine needles getting in the house gutters. Dug up the whole yard and put in rocks and gravel so there's no yard work. She has the pest control guys every month to spray for spiders. She wants a sterile environment.

That said, this morning in our yard we had quail, thrushes, and hundreds of robins turning over leaves, hummers in the flowers, and osprey overhead, and a bald eagle too. We pretty much co-exist with our spiders, I respect their contribution to the family.

is that there are more of them than there are of us. You find them in any and all subdivisions in this country. Can't stand those messy trees! Can't stand spiders or bugs or bees or whatever so they stock up on all the neat chemicals you can buy these days to kill everything off.
