The interview marked the first time Prince has publicly acknowledged such a meeting. Prince said in congressional testimony in 2017 that he had no official or unofficial role in the campaign other than a yard sign and writing papers according to the transcript of his testimony before the House Intelligence Committee. Nor did he mention the meeting in his testimony, according to transcripts.
Asked by host Mehdi Hasan why he didnt reveal the meeting in his congressional testimony, Prince insisted he had. When his actual response was read back to him, he suggested the transcript was wrong, drawing titters from the interview audience.
He later also insisted that not all of the discussion that day was transcribed.

(4,035 posts)What the heck was he doing there? The guy runs mercenaries for profit, or better known as private armies, the statistics of which are generally or specifically not made public - like how many died, and whats the cause that they are fighting for, because I doubt if it has anything to do with democracy, and more to do with private or corporate wealth.
Why was he there? Relying on Prince to give a straight answer might require water boarding, because as with all of these types, truth has no meaning. You might as well just ask rRump.

(32,980 posts)This interview is not with an American media company journalist.
This one with Sean Spicers' interview with a BBC journalist in July 2018, https://www.bbc.com/news/av/world-us-canada-44933363/sean-spicer-on-donald-trump-and-the-white-house. Video there.
1-American journalists, esp TV-cable ones in this era are mushballs serving up pablum questions
2-American politically connected people have learned that American Media journalists are mushballs & expect all media are serving up pablum questions
3-AlJazeera & BBC media personalities are much more then those pablum pushers.

(32,980 posts)Even though AlJazeera does have some US based journalists, the guy you referred, acted as the way US media once was, holding the powerful acvountable. A true pity, they have become so flaccid in covering this counrty.
