History will judge Barr and Mueller equally harsh if...

...they cannot bring this investigation to a justifiable end? It cannot be swept under the rug. It cannot be hidden from the Congress. The facts must be known to the American people.

We would assume that Barr and Mueller are working together to bring this investigation to a close? But, that may not necessarily be the case?

It appears that the story from a couple of weeks ago, that the investigation was near its end, perhaps by the next Friday? The "next Friday" has come and gone.

Perhaps that was only a story planted by the White House, and not by Barr or Mueller? Maybe Trump thought he could force Barr to pressure Mueller into an early close? If so, it appears not to have worked?

In my opinion, both Barr and Mueller understand that they have the eye of history upon them. It's beyond partisan politics for both of them.

Maybe Barr now understands what Mueller has understood for quite some time? There is a threat to our national security and it sits in our White House. But, what can they do, without generating total civic unrest?

In the end, they will probably decide that the only option is to let the people decide? The people will have a voice about the direction they want our country to go? That is the easiest way out...

And what will history say about our Congress? Did they do everything within their power to protect our democracy and institutions?

There is not going to be any unanimous consensus.

Mueller did turn it over to Barr Friday! I would imagine Barr would have to
meet with Mueller and then decide what he is going to release to the public.
Not sure about process ;but , think Barr would be the one to share it
with us-

that we are going to be very disappointed in the eventual outcome of the Mueller report. Facts will come out that leave us tantalizing close to proving trumps complicity with the russians, but the ends of the strings will just not come together to form a knot. We will “know” what happened but the proof will be covered with so many layers it will be impossible to definitively link trump to it.

The republicans have been employing dirty tactics for so long we take it as business as usual. It’s not just trump, I think they used him to hoping to get everything they ever wanted for their form of “government”. The plan backfired on them, trump got too crazy and uncontrollable now they’re stuck with him, without a plan on what to do with him.

The Mueller report may uncover so much corruption in our government that if the general population knew the entire extent of the governments wrongdoing, faith in the government would collapse and who knows what would happen after that. Nothing good.

So, we will never find out everything, we honestly would not be able to handle to the the truth.

is already gone in my opinion. If I don't know what is in the report and the goons get away scott free then fascism is just around the corner friends.

Mueller's job is law enforcement and the investigation of crimes. The ensuing prosecution (or not) is handled by the Attorney General as he sees fit. None of us has read the final report, and until we do we're only guessing.

There are also political solutions, namely impeachment and the ballot box. We voters and citizens can affect this by bringing pressure against our elected Senators and Congressmen. In any case Mueller is very close to retirement, he's already 74 years old and he probably won't be seeing this through to the end. Give the guy a break, he deserves to spend some time with his grandchildren while he still can. We're still waiting to see what Barr's next move will be. Is he a true patriot or another GOP toad?

Or represent the rule of law, and release as much as can be released. If he hides things not under a national security threat from it being exposed , it will show he was absolutely involved in the crimes and cover up for them, and he will be exposed also eventually. HE should be smart enough to realize that.
