President Donald Trump last month was photographed partying with the founder of a Florida day spa that has been accused of being involved with human trafficking.
The Miami Herald reports that Li Yang, the founder of a chain of day spas that have been caught up in a human trafficking investigation, attended Trumps Super Bowl party at his Mar-a-Lago resort in February.
The photo isnt in this (sorry, Rawstory) link but its out there. Isnt it phenomenal how these rich, entitled, smarmy old men are exactly what you would imagine they are? Its a network of exploitation, greed and manipulating the law. They need to be shown the exits.

"According to the Miami Herald, Yang sold off the Orchids of Asia day spa to another Chinese businesswoman named Hua Zhang in 2013. "

(14,859 posts)She is still an illicit massage parlor owner. There have been complaints and arrests in the spa's she still owns.
It's only a technicality that she isn't the owner of record of the particular spa kraft was caught in.
That's like saying gracie wasn't a murderer because he was never in miami.

(25,492 posts)Multiple posters have changed the headline of these articles - which clearly state "founder" right in the title and include information indicating that she hasn't owned the place in years - to "owner" for reasons I don't quite understand.
I'm not absolving the founder of responsibility. The culture existed when she did own the place. I just think accuracy is important, but perhaps I'm in the minority there.
