The Ed Show Tonight!

Their was a State Senator from Ohio on tonight.. Seen her before, but don't remember her name. I had a tooth pulled this morning, and my head is still spinning from pain meds so bare with me. The point is she was awesome. She was having a debate about voter suppression. The other woman who I also don't know her name, but I assume she was a republican, but she said voter suppression should not be a political issue, and neither side should be grandstanding this issue. To me that was code republicans will continue to suppress the vote, and Democrats shut up, but she wasn't having it.

She responded I don't care that some carries the title of secretary of state. All elected officials have a responsibility to the truth about what really going on. She cited something like 140 voter suppression pieces, and went on to ask is it because is Barack Obama is President., and is African American? The other lady wouldn't dare challenge her. I don't blame her, because she was legit, and speaking from the heart in my view. That's how progressives should handle republicans by speaking the truth with passion.

Any fool who is trying to be objective can see there is no 2 way street here. Voter suppression is coming 100% from the republican side. What I saw tonight was real not like that fake Romney/Ryan outrage. Like the Todd Akin situations who asked he dropped out of the Senate only, because they believe he will lose. Some republicans have said for for what he said he isn't qualified to hold office in the Senate. Which I agree with, but if they were being for real they would believe he wasn't fit for congress either, and would demand not only he withdraw from the Senate, but resign from congress immediately.

While I am it let me get a couple more things of my chest. The birthers no good, and well the President was born in America. They hate Obama so much they believe they can tell a lie enough times to wish it true.

Also I couple months ago when racist Newt Gingrich was on Hardball it looked like Chris was, about to make out with him. When he should've buried him instead of playing softball. So what if he would never go on their show again. Gingrich is scum, and doesn't deserve the attention he gets. Yes there are things we should be able to disagree with, but racism is not one of them, it should not be tolerated period!

I now believe the other woman was a democrat. As she expanded early voting when she was secretary of state. However what turned me off about her was her unwillingness to call out republicans for their shameful tactics, and to also imply some how that both parties were to blame. Which lead me to believe she was a republican. I guess she must be some kind moderate blue dog democrat.
