I think that the GOP may have waited too long on exercising their constitutional oversight duties. i.e. they screwed up.
Assuming the documents reveal improprieties by the chairman of Trump's Transition team, either in his dealings as Chairman of the Trump Transition, his knowledge or part in the firing of James Comey or his potential knowledge of inauguration committee fraud or his dealings with Mike Flynn who he was told by Congress was a compromised foreign agent or his hiring of Mike Flynn's compromised son or his knowledge of Mike Flynn's Turkish agent, Bijan Kian, who worked in the transition team's Office of the Director of National Intelligence, while he conspired with Mike Flynn and Mike Flynn conspired at the direction of Jared Kushner to ease sanctions on Russia right under the nose of the vice president elect or for some odd reason why Paul Manfort handpicked the governor of Indiana over Chris Christie...

Assuming the chairman of the Trump Transition team is soon hauled in to testify before congress. If tRump resigns in disgrace and the rusky KGOP thinking that the vice president will be sworn in as pRes #46 and the Grand Old Party retains the executive branch, there's a possibility that the transition team's chairman will go from the frying pan to the fire as well in very short order, if not immediately. Conspiracy. Fraud. Lying publically to the American people.
I think Mitch McConnell and the GOP screwed up. Or their window of opportunity to get Individual-1, the unindicted co-conspirator Rusky asset to resign is quickly closing.

If it becomes public knowledge that the VP elect violated the law, it'll be difficult for him to slither away. Especially when Nadler and Schiff can haul his ass before their committees to answer questions under oath.
