never thought he'd be elected, but that the campaign would be a big infomercial.
Donations would pay for the airtime, so it would be like free advertising.
ETA: Cohen's remark during his opening statement.
Donald Trump is a man who ran for office to make his brand great, not to make our country great. He had no desire or intention to lead this nation only to market himself and to build his wealth and power. Mr. Trump would often say, this campaign was going to be the greatest infomercial in political history.

is that he didn't deserve to win, nor, according to vote count, did he win!
My GAWD, how the system has screwed us over................... what did we ever do to deserve this?

He was taking the customary walk alone through the hallway and out to the open space where the ceremony takes place. He was literally stomping instead of walking normally, with a disgusted look on his face. That was before he learned how neat it is to be president (the way he does it, at least).
