Being a male, I can honestly say I want more woman elected to congress.

Many of the woman elected this past election have been outstanding in their brief careers. I am proud of them. They remind me of the America I grew up with. Many of the men who serve in congress have failed us for far too long. It is time for a change and I believe the way to get there is to elect more woman to serve in congress.

I've been SO tired of seeing photos of our Elected Representatives, who are nothing but old white men. As an old white man myself, I' HAPPY to see an electorate more representative of who we are. Now, let's see if we can have a female President in 2020?

There won't truly be representative government in this country until the porportion of women in Congress is equal to the percentage of women in the general population, i.e. roughly 51%.

Studies have made clear that women and persons of color do a much better job, overall, of representing the interests of women and persons of color.

And given that the Republican Party would cease to be viable if not for racism and sexism, efforts to combat racism and sexism are incredibly important. There is always a backlash to progress, but each time we make progress, we bend the arc toward justice. Electing more women and persons of color to the highest offices in the land has much more value than some (including some Democrats) seem to realize.

This creepy, macho nonsense that's permeating everything today needs to be toned down quite a bit.

... they're Democrats.

Otherwise, more Democratic men would be ok.
