something Right Wingers often rail against. Many use their "religion" as a basis of opposition. I am reading a very enlightening book on the subject. While reading I was reminded that many of the hardline views of American Evangelicals seem to come from interpretations of the Old Testament. The thought crossed my mind: "How are gays treated in Israel, today?" Well Wikipedia told me some interesting things. Once again many of the Evangelicals come off as uninformed or hypocritical. Take a look. This should be used against the intolerant of our great FREE country, etc.

1. Tell them to google "abortion" and "Socialized Medicine" in Israel.

Then remind them that their tax dollars, more than 3 billion a year pays for it for them and not you.

I'm happy they do provide those services, but would like to see them stop saying we can't afford it at home.

2. The Evangelicals Don't Really Care about Jewish People. They Want the End Times.

Don't mistake the evangelicals' support for Israel as support and tolerance of Jews and Judaism. They don't give a crap about Jews except to get them all back to Israel so the end-times can come. Always remember many of them think of the Jews as "The Christ Killer."

There's no love for people of different faiths in them. Even the people who spawned their faith.

4. I am afraid you are correct. I just wish that any who might be "on the fence"

about some of these incredibly important things would consider where these negative and hateful attitudes came from. They don't come from the Jews when it comes to homosexual treatment, etc. People are so gullible. The rich are pushing their buttons and they don't even know they have buttons!
