Traunch is not a word.

Tranche, maybe, though I doubt he would know the meaning. Someone probably used it and it sounded like a smart person’s word.

Dipshit Don seems to have used it incorrectly, though. https://www.investopedia.com/terms/t/traunch.asp

The biggest issue, IMO, is that he still doesn't understand how tariffs work. Whether it's a traunch, a tranche or a tariff, China still isn't paying them. We are.
