They don't normally post happy vaca pics & say "From vacation in New Zealand! I'll be back Monday!"

There's no evidence at all to indicate his job is in jeopardy. He went on vacation. All the talk show hosts go on vacation, and take days off in the interim, too. Rachel does, Joe & Mika do, Tweety does...they all do.

you'll even argue about a tv show? Seriously?

There's not one iota of evidence that his job is in jeopardy. He's been at MSNBC for decades. He's not going anywhere. If his ratings aren't up to snuff, they'll move his show around....maybe.

But he'll still be there.

Yes. Seriously. I know. I've given you my opinions and our opinions differ. Yet, for some reason you want to make it about me... clearly implying that I have some flaw or fault because I dared disagree with you... because I offered an opinion that differed from yours.

"Deal with it."
Yes, please! That advice still stands. The fact of the matter is that I've done nothing to you that deserves this type of reaction. I've simply stated an opinion that contradicts yours. I'm not going to be bullied into silence.

He has more viewers, but Erin Burnett has more 25-54. MSNBC hasn't commented on the question. So that's where that comes from.

They do ratings like they always have, I think, and tv viewing has changed a lot the last couple of years. But if streaming would be counted, it would only make it worse for Hardball, since I think that would add to that younger demographic. I'm an exception...I'm older but I am a cord cutter, so stream, watch broadcast tv, listen to podcasts (I get FREE cable news podcasts legally), and they are rerun visually on some FREE apps on my Roku.

He has diabetes, posters are saying. I didn't know that. But millions of people have diabetes, so that shouldn't be a problem, as long as he takes his medicine & lives a healthy lifestyle.

I like him and his show, but I'm older so am not the demographic they're looking for. But even I think he's irritating at times, when he interrupts his guests.

He's 73. Cable news channels aren't keen on older people. If you look around, there are hardly any. That used to not be the case. Dan Rather, Walter Cronkite, Aaron Brown on CNN (they fired him to put young exciting Anderson Cooper in his spot), Mike Wallace, Brinkley....

When the President, played by Michael Douglas, tells his staffer, play by Michael J. Fox, to lay off the coffee in the morning (because he's so hyped in the morning)....Michael J. Fox says, "I don't drink coffee, sir." To which the President responds, "Then hit yourself over the head with a bat." Or something like that.

I like Kornacki's energy, though. It's part of his charm. Everyone's different.

I lost respect for him, which means I don't trust much of what he says. When you host a political talk show, integrity is key. If he were a broadcaster, he'd be fine. They just report the news.

Dan Rather wasn't rehired for that reason.

He's topping the cable ratings in that time slot, by the way. I guess many viewers recognize quality and value.

Dan Rather didn't lie. He didn't lack integrity.

was fired and never rehired. His career in the big time was over. For not fact checking and running a story w/o verification, which turned out to be false. It was a big error, but not one that should have ended his career in prime time on a national network. But it did. Williams, who did intentionally repeatedly lie, was rehired. Go figure.

Might be time to brush up on facts.

Williams repeatedly lied in an egregious way. His career as a political opinion giver is over for me. He has no integrity, IMO. That's my opinion. You have yours. It's a subjective thing. You can't argue with it. I hold honesty to be the #1 character attribute for anyone and everyone.

I don't have cable, so I listen to streaming podcasts. I have never listened to his show, or watched streaming delayed telecasts of it. I won't watch him. But I think MSNBC can survive w/o me for a Williams hour.
