Rich Heiress Ivanka Thinks People Don't Want Free Money

Hello, steerage! It is I, Ivanka Trump, financial advisor! I did an interview for State TV that is airing on Sunday and I wanted to give you, the teeming filthy masses, a preview. Fox News' Steve Hilton asked me about my opinions on Alexadria Ocasio-Cortez's Green New Deal. Oh, excuse me, I am contractually obligated to go to a balcony and scream every time I hear those words. One second please.

My apologies. Where was I? Oh, yes. Hilton said, "You’ve got people who will see that offer from the Democrats... ‘Here’s the Green New Deal, here’s the guarantee of a job,’ and think, ‘yeah, that’s what I want,'" I appreciate Steve Hilton asking me this question because it is a widely held belief that no one is more attuned to the wants and wishes of the proletariat than I.

I replied, in all seriousness, "I don’t think most Americans, in their heart, want to be given something. I’ve spent a lot of time traveling around this country over the last 4 years. People want to work for what they get.”

Now, I know what you may be thinking: "Why does Ivanka Trump not have a three-hour block on morning TV to dispense wisdom and wit?" I know, right? Genuine laugh! That is Hollyweird for you. Also, I do not have time to take on any new projects since I am very busy in the White House doing whatever it is that I do.

Some—a very small number, I am sure—may also question why I, a wealthy person since birth thanks to the tireless grifting of my father and a minuscule loan from his father, would be against people getting anything for free. Some—one or two people at most—may find it ironic that I, a person who was given a high-ranking and totally undefined job in the administration of my father—would suggest that a guarantee of a job for other Americans would be a bad idea. And yet, here I am, a study of contradictions in earth tones. What a delight!
