Amerians must vote out all the cultists.

And there are many of them.

But there are many more Americans that see them for what they are. They are not Republicans. They are not conservatives. They are cult members in a cult of personality. They are Trumpists.

They support no ideology. They support their cult leader.

They do not support our laws and they do not support our Constitution.

Americans must recognize the urgency of this situation. They must vote these people out if we are to preserve even a small part of our democracy.

though. They'd all be virtually unknown now not just without their cult followers but, more importantly, without all the others who don't do their homework and mistake crowds and passion for substance and truth.

Cultists who need a Dear Leader aren't going away, but we could fix their bacon good just by making all politicians campaign with bags over their heads.

But the big threat is really from the rest of us. The increasing preference for all voters for messages that appeal straight to emotions and don't require thought or knowledge to internalize is a tremendous and growing threat. Thus, all politicians these days are learning to communicate in ways that specifically do not require listening and thinking to take in.

In addition to bags over their heads, which may not be doable , we really need to require politicians to state their main positions in every public appearance in detail and in complete sentences. And that is doable. After all, we make mortgage brokers and car salesmen explain their contracts, and chanting "I alone can put you in a home" and "just sign here, just sign here" is not accepted.

the last election, 2018, my Rep. Glenn Thompson won 75%-25%. He is a stooge for the coal and gas companies.

It didn't used to be that way. Back in the 70's I served 2 terms on our borough's council. I remember one 4th of July parade in the 70's when a Democratic Rep. and Republican Rep. rode in the same car through town.

Republicans, with the help of the M$M, have succeeded in demonizing Democrats. I live among these people, I know them well. The vast majority of them voted against Hillary and not for Trump. They believe that only Democrats, mainly black and brown people, are on welfare and food stamps, while only Republicans are hard working people whose taxes foot the bills of lazy Democrats.

They are a cult. It is a waste of time to argue with them, they are zombies, they will never change, they will always vote against the Democrat.

The "baby killers" mantra is back.

The "Socialist" label has returned.

Unfortunately, a long list of policy issues cannot compete with name-calling and character assassination.

that represent a less foul-mouthed version of the status quo. It's time for a quantum shift. It's not enough to replace the criminals and grifters with those tied to corporate interest. We need representatives that will chain corporations like wild animals and cut the grotesque military budget.
