'american bible challenge' new game show featuring jeff foxworthy

GSN’s new game show, “The American Bible Challenge,” is just as dull as it sounds, like mandatory fun time at Sunday school, with three teams competing to answer arcane questions about details buried in the verses of the Old and New Testaments. (Although for most of the show, the questions aren’t that arcane. Even your lapsed, heathen, former altar-boy TV critic called out every answer to the category “What do you ‘Noah’ ’bout the ark?”)

But why does this sort of thing have to be dull? For as long as there has been television, there have been pastors, priests, ministers and flocks who have deeply desired to translate the energy and excitement of their beliefs to the secular airwaves. God knows they’ve tried.

it seems you haven't exhausted Ignorance just yet.

It used to be that standing in judgement of people who had different beliefs was a trait from the other side of the aisle.

we are well on our way to a theocracy and you many people don't even see it coming. Queen Palin is the head of this party baby. Be afraid very afraid. Wake up america. Shock and Awe is happening right here. Today is supression of the black, hispanic, young and elderly votes. Tommorrow double wammy ladies they will work on taking our rights away and anyone who doesn't own property rights away to vote. Pay attention. They are doing it behind closed doors. I know some will think am crazy but I tell you read up on the 7 Mountains you will be shocked what is in store for us.

I'm not going to criticize unless the people are truly hypocritical. There are good Christians out there. Not all are hateful, moronic idiots. Blanket statements offend everyone here except when it's about Christians. I'm not a Christian, but I've learned recently that there are just as many good people in every group as there are bad.

I'm glad they're going to decent charities and not "charities" such as Focus on the Family or Answers in Genesis.

I appreciate your thoughts on good Christians, I consider myself one and I hate the broad brush swipe some DUers post about Christians. If one truly follows Christ, they would know he was a champion of the poor, sick, and less fortunate among us.

people like Foxworthy are just brainwashed into a "social culture".... it's as if he feels the need to only root for the home team, but when it comes to the sport, he could care less.

Will their donations go to the harm their right wing religious elites do to innocent folks? Like take away rights, and demonize them so other attack them for who and what they are? Exactly... so STFU about there being any decent, humanitarian purpose... we know what they want.

Rightwing Republicans have their way, there will be many more shows like this in prime time. I don't have a TV, but I am sure they will find a way to redirect our internet to websites that will be pretty much the same kind of thing. Radios too, so, we will never be free from it.

Someone called me an ignorant heathen, but I countered that I was a well versed heathen. I went to bible school up to high school. I'm a recovering baptist and know more than these people have forgotten.
