If there's never another Democratic President, they don't have to worry about...

...a Democratic President declaring a National Emergency to advance some project.

Maybe they're just not worried about that ever happening.

And maybe they believe they have reason.

It's a little scary, actually.

I think charades are being played only because push hasn't come to shove. I have a feeling that the real power play hasn't been seen yet, like the suspension of congress kind of power play, shooting ppl, etc.
