Precedent with wall could allow Dem President to declare gun violence emergency

Let's talk about today, the one-year anniversary of another manifestation of the epidemic of gun violence in America," Pelosi said at a press conference, referencing the Parkland, Florida school shooting that left 17 dead last year. "That's a national emergency. Why don't you declare that emergency, Mr. President? I wish you would."

Face it — if Trump gets away with this, the next time we get a Democratic president and enough seats in either chamber of congress to sustain a veto, it’ll be open season…and any sensible Republican would recognize it.

Our system is largely inhumane. That is a national emergency if ever I’ve seen one.

Just seeing what the collateral damage would be if we did call a national gun emergency and the industry went belly up.. That would be my dream but it would not happen.. Maybe back to the 1950's industry size??? I want a Daisy BB gun for christmas Papa..

They are tying the "national emergency" to keeping our government open.

It would be unlike to happen unless Democrats could get 60 votes in the Senate and how likely would that be under normal circumstances?
