A bill vetoed last year by Oklahomas Republican former governor that would allow adult residents to carry a gun without any training or a background check has easily passed a vote in the state House on its way to the desk of the new governor, who is expected to sign it into law, the AP reports.

But, dammit, we are going to require stringent licensing on nail salons and massage therapists.
Oklahoma - where priorities are . . . whatever. . .

(5,558 posts)As others pointed out, a bunch of states have quietly passed this over the past decade and surprisingly it hasn't caused problems. I guess those most likely to use guns criminally weren't deterred before.
