We have an abundance of candidates for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination and

several additional candidates are expected to join the fray in the coming weeks. I don't know yet just how our debates will be managed, but I do have a suggestion as to what should be the first question for each hopeful: "If you do not win our party's nomination, will you pledge here and now to promptly and enthusiastically support the party's choice and do everything within your power to help that person become the next President of the United States?"

ANYONE who can't answer that question in the affirmative---should have their mike killed and be asked to exit the stage immediately.

Random selection will determine who participates in each debate. The first pair is set for June.

So all the candidates raise their hand and say "yes." But will they honor their promise? Will they even honor what they say is their agenda, if elected? I take all the promises made in debates with a grain of salt.

I like all of the "Big Five" - Harris, Booker, Klobuchar, Warren, and Gillibrand. All of them are saying things that I like. All of them are effective. It's going to come down to who's still in by the time the MD primary rolls around.

Not interested in Tulsi Gabbard. While I'm glad that there is a Hindu person running, I think that she's got too much support from Moscow.
