Trump....Spreading cruelty like he was Hurricane Maria

A most unnerving aspect of Trump’s behavior is his comfort with cruelty and the abhorrent expression he displays when he gets applause for it. These words don’t just barge out of Trump’s mouth. He flings them around like he would candy from a 4th of July parade float. Like those China-made red hats, he’s Making America Great Again. Mix in some cruelty and he’ll remind them of just who’s running things.

Trump spews out “Pocahontas” at Native American Code Talkers. He allows children to be caged. Say that to yourself a few times. Children....caged. He chops and hacks at any government program designed to give a helping hand. He throws paper towels at traumatized hurricane victims. He threatens to withhold help from Californians while they’re still searching for missing loved ones in the smoldering rubble of what used to be. Okay, Californians, you didn’t rake your forests. No help.

He mocks people. Makes fun of people. Invents juvenile nicknames for them. If you desperately need something and you’re in one of the groups he deems “lesser than”, he’ll gleefully take it away from you or make sure you don’t get it in the first place. Without batting an eye. Without a nanosecond’s worth of consideration. Without a hint of conscience.

Having been raised on it, I know that purposeful cruelty can cram you down so flat you don’t dare look up. Maybe that’s the purpose. I also know that sometimes a gust of miracle strength can blow in a window and help people stand up. Average people, above-average miracles.

I believe a majority of Americans are very, very thirsty. Trump has been ordering all our water jugs be dumped out. His inflated ego won’t allow himself to acknowledge there are millions of people with fire hoses just over the hill. They’re advancing and they’re coming for him.

This is the essence of who he is. A sadistic, uncivilized bully. The man has no heart or soul. He is just a big black hole of neediness and desire who can't get enough adoration for himself, but has never once in his life been tempted to extend any compassion or kindness to others.

He is a monster.

the miracles, and I can't believe they won't happen. But cults know no sense, and don't want to know. I hope you're right.
