Said he was a down-to-earth, straight-talking kind of guy. I didn't say my opinion of him, although I have warmed to him slightly as a person since he left office.

But I think his policies were atrocious and the results of his policies were devastating.

Without meeting him would be pointless don't you think? Look at Elton John who called Bush the worst thing that ever happened to America before meeting him then after he met himcalled him one of the greatest human beings alive. It's one thing to dislike someone's beliefs or policies its another to dislike the person.
