I liked Klobuchar and Warren. Liked what they said, and how they said it. If Klobuchar or Warren wins, I'll support her unreservedly. Harris is still my #1, but it's great that we have multiple candidates who would make strong nominees.
You know why?
Any Democratic nominee >> Trump. Any Democratic nominee is better than Trump. You could empty my Democratic colon and the pile would be better than Trump. I like Harris, but whomever wins is going to have me firmly on her or his side. I hope that all Democrats really, really internalize the idea that any vote other than for the Democratic nominee, or not voting, is as good as a vote for Donald Trump. If your candidate beats out Harris, she or he will have my unqualified support. So go Klobuchar, go Warren, go Booker. I want everyone looking as good as possible, and for our nominee to clearly be the best of a group of strong competitors.

(3,181 posts)All of our candidates are good. However, we need to make sure we pick someone whose flaws won't represent a problem down the road.

(4,447 posts)Edwards is a slimy narcissist, but he pales in comparison to the Mango Homunculus we have squatting in the White House. Plus, Im pretty sure he doesnt have Eau de Putins Asshole on his nose. Or the rest of his face, because you know Trump didnt just stick his nose up there. He gave Putin the motorboat.
I have massive, grinding contempt for John Edwards. Id say I dislike him more than any Democrat, ever. But Id vote for him in a heartbeat over Trump.

(14,565 posts)He was my first choice coming out of November, with Klobuchar second.
We need a charismatic male of younger age on that debate stage. It will boost interest level and allow peaked registration drives during the primary season.
I'll support any Democratic nominee but it helps if they have already faced challengers who offer every regional perspective, age perspective, gender perspective, ideology perspective, etc.

(25,183 posts)I hope we all still feel that way after what will truly be a bruising year and a half to come. The recipient of the nomination will probably have to elbow a few people out of the way, hopefully their supporters will come around to not only voting for and supporting the nominee, but also making damned good and sure that they participate vigorously in GOTV efforts for the fall of 2020.

(4,447 posts)If Harris gets elbowed out of the way and gets beaten up in the process, Ill still be all in for the Democratic nominee. And I wont be able to do much good in Tennessee, but I will damn sure try to increase our nominees popular vote margin when we kick Trumps sorry ass.

(15,139 posts)run. Name recognition and the support of the establishment will be hard to beat. I prefer Warren but will wholeheartedly support the eventual nominee whoever it is. If Biden does get the nod, I hope he'll choose a VP from among the others who are running. First and foremost, we need unity.

(13,058 posts)beat Trump. Don't assume that beating him will be easy just because he is the worst president in history and he has low polling numbers.

(17,984 posts)Warren and Klobuchar are fine, and I wouldn't be "holding my nose" to vote for them. It's just that I'm smitten with Harris.

(4,079 posts)we have such amazing candidates for this election. No one will have to "hold their nose" to vote for the nominee, whoever it turns out to be. I, too, am a Harris supporter, but I would gladly support Warren, Biden, Klobuchar, Brown, etc. or whoever ends up getting nominated.
Honestly I'd vote for a rabid sloth over Cheetoh, but fortunately we have several very talented, smart, committed candidates to choose from.
