Apparently the last question he mentioned something about pardons.

Earlier in the hearing, he said no discussion of pardons has ever come up with trump.

he was aware some documents existed, or he had seen them (I forget which) but never said he had discussed them.

I caught that too, but he wasn't inconsistent.

2. How would he have seen them if he didn't talk about them?

He just walked by Trump's desk and just happened to see them sitting there? Pardons are recommended by the DoJ and the process is done through them. I find it hard to believe Whitaker didn't have any involvement in the drafting of those pardons.

3. Easy. I've seen lots of documents I never discussed

When I was working in the government bureaucracy there were many documents I saw and never discussed. Staff would be working on all kinds of things. If it didn't concern me yet, or not ready for my review why would I talk about them?

Things are bad enough, we don't need to stretch.
