Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez schooled her follow members of Congress Wednesday by conducting a rather non-traditional line of questioning in a House hearing on the role of money in politics and how it affects voting rights.

AOC, as the Democratic Congresswoman from the Bronx and Queens is called, began by saying, “Let’s play a game. Let’s play a lightning round game. I’m going to be the bad guy – which I’m sure half the room would agree with, anyway,” she snarked, mocking the GOP’s obsession with trying to destroy her reputation.

“I want to get away with as much… bad things as possible, ideally to enrich myself and advance my interests, even if that means putting my interests ahead of the American people,” she said, pretending to be the “bad guy.”

Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez then asked, “If I want to run a campaign that is entirely funded by corporate PACs, is there anything that legally prevents me from doing that?”

There's so much to see and read at D.U., you can easily lose an entire night trying to grab everything new every time.

It's a joy there are so many actual Democrats, and progressives engaged and contributing here, as it's a tremendous place to learn a ton of stuff in rapid order, with so many bringing so much, and so many great attitudes. The good far outweighs the troll infestation, doesn't it?

Hope you've got a great weekend coming up, and a lot of time to spend with your outstanding collection of worthy fur friends, too. It's always so much fun to see photos or hear news.

I get to go to my moms and unplug one toilet and then change the guts on the other. So I got that going for me.

I agree. This place is pretty great. You do learn a ton. Wish I was one of you posters. Unfortunately I'm not that well read or intelligent. I generally stick with what I know. Music, my pets, my own opinions, and profanity.

Nothing really new with the menagerie. Bootsy is finally starting to hang out with us a little bit. After she got used to the house and her housemates, she kinda stopped coming around. I'm really hoping I'm seeing a new trend with her.

She is one of the few who will call bullshit on the entire system. We need more like her.

the country would be in much better shape and Donald Trump would be in a prison cell - not the Oval office.

"She is one of the few who will call bullshit on the entire system"

That is why they're down on her.
