The problem is ... that the public really wants an accounting of what went on. They want a 9/11-style commission answer to what happened but that doesn't exist. So what will happen? How much will Congress get? It's not really clear. It's not like he has this ability just to hand over everything that he found to the Hill and for the Hill to do whatever they want with it. That structure is not there.

(1,683 posts)That's what Mueller and the Southern District of New York have been doing. They are issuing the "report" on an indictment by indictment basis. For example, we already know that Trump conspired with Cohen to commit election law crimes, thanks to the language of that indictment.
They will do the same with all the indictments, which will tell us everything, and Trump won't be able to do anything about it.
