I've been watching the drafting of the GOP platform on Cspan
Just what I saw yesterday was crazy.
They put a clause under health care saying a hospital or doctor can refuse to remove treatment at request of the patient even in cases of severe suffering.
They also put in a clause saying doctors cannot treat or even consult with a minor without parental consent. Even if the doctor suspects or has an std or unplanned pregnancy and won't seek medical help if a doctor must tell their parents.
There were some objections made but a very tiny minority of one or two.
