I think both Northam and Fairfax should have lie detector tests

Since they are public officials, they should be willing to do so.

I guess we could ask Herring if that was the only time so sure, give him a lie detector test also.
And the Republican who is next in line for Governor.

May as well get as close to the truth as we can.

1. You do know that lie detector tests are inadmissible in court because they aren't reliable.

I know it wouldn't be for a trial, but the tests wouldn't prove whether they were telling the truth because all they do is measure stress. People who are total sociopaths can sometimes beat the tests because they aren't stressed out by lying; normal people can show stress when they're telling the truth because the circumstances of the test itself can be stressful. Not a good idea, sorry.

3. I believe that it is possible for both of them to believe their own stories whole heartedly

and I think people who have no compunction against lying can beat lie detector tests.

However right now we are reading tea leaves, so the lie detector test is better than tea leaves even with its limitations.
