CNN's Fareed Zakaria doesn't get it.
Fareed Zakaria is generally excellent but he doesn't understand the world-wide plague of greed that is destroying everything. He sees the problem, even tolerates it because it does some good(?)--but he doesn't understand its danger.
He explains how so many people have escaped poverty in recent decades. Fareed saw the poverty of his country and appreciates what is happening. But "man does not live by bread alone." These greedy bastards are sucking the air out of everything. In the U.S., Russia, Brazil, and Venezuela we see how the rich have conspired to gain power--to the point of deeply harming their country and its people. Brazil: a bogus impeachment that ended up giving a dictator power. In Venezuela, the rich went on strike and when that didn't work they bided their time to today as they are on the precipice of stealing power. They didn't lift a finger to help the country succeed--they worked to take power. In the U.S. the wealthy are fighting the justified "wealth tax" by saying the Democrats are extreme. The wealthy are truly having a world-wide tantrum to get what they want even though they've gotten much in the past 40 years.
Stephen Hawking, before he died, said that greed is the greatest threat to humanity. That's particularly true with global warming as the rich conspire to prevent anyone from doing anything to alleviate this problem.
