People who are desperate will cling to any raft in the storm. The Democratic Party needs to build a better boat.

how this statement is not shocking, given that it's so obvious.

Also, I suppose having just had a pretty damn good president knock down a lot of barriers made me a little complacent about where we stood. Yes, I saw the currents of hate, but didn't see the tsunami.

It still sickens me that I have to pay taxes to a country that has denied me my civil rights for so long and still continues to do it.

At least I got a nice fat tax cut so I have less paying to do.

costs low, his profits high (when he is not bankrupt) and his "base" energized. There is a whole world of difference between a broke, disabled old guy sitting on the side of the road who tells you that his life has gone to hell because _____ have all the jobs now and Trump.
