RNC-related graffiti, 'suspicious items' found on downtown Tampa rooftop

TAMPA --
Days removed from the Republican National Convention, Tampa police have confiscated suspicious items found on the roof of a downtown building.

According to police, the owner of a building on the corner of Florida Avenue and Tyler Street found RNC-related graffiti, bricks and pipes on the roof of the building. Officers collected the items.

The graffiti was a spray-painted image of Guy Fawkes, similar to the character in the movie V for Vendetta. Occupy protesters have used his likeness with masks worn during protests.

The building isn't far from the newly renovated Floridan Palace Hotel, which will house some RNC attendees. It's about a mile from the Tampa Bay Times Forum, where the RNC will be held.

Police Chief Jane Castor was scheduled to discuss the findings at a news conference this afternoon.

Tampa has ten thousand would be banksys, all of whom are harmless because their paint huffing has killed half their brain cells.

This pre-convention press release hardly made me **CONCERNED** at all.

If they're lucky, maybe tomorrow, a black panther will invade the roped-off perimeter, frightening the bunting-hanging cheerleaders. Which also could happen.
