Don't expect to see Ruth Bader Ginsburg at the State of the Union, no matter what you might hear

from the Rethugs. It's NOT a tradition for Supreme Court Justices to attend, and she didn't attend last year.

It's completely optional, and I'd rather our recovering Justice stay away from that germy place!

The article below is from LAST YEAR:

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2018/01/29/skipping-state-union-supreme-court-tradition-regardless-whos-president/1073785001/

WASHINGTON — Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will be the most notable member of the high court to skip President Trump's first State of the Union address Tuesday night, but she won't be the only one.

Ginsburg — who attended all of President Barack Obama's annual speeches — will be joined in absentia Tuesday night by four other justices, leaving Trump without a Supreme Court quorum.

Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito are perennial no-shows. Justice Sonia Sotomayor is in Panama. Justice Anthony Kennedy is in his home state of California.

Boycotting the presidential address, it seems, isn't based on politics. The four justices who will be in attendance -- Chief Justice John Roberts and Justices Stephen Breyer, Elena Kagan and Neil Gorsuch, Trump's lone appointee -- represent diverse ideologies.

Being them, it can only get weirder from there as their conspiracy eventually spins out explanations of her appearances. Maybe zombie doubles.

Asked about his tweet, Gorka told The Daily Beast to “go outside and lick a metal street lamp.” Thursday’s temperature in Washington, D.C. is 18 degrees Fahrenheit.

But, sure. Since it's the POTUS report to congress, justices only attend if they feel like it and numbers vary up and down every year.

driving this, both from those who care about her and those anxious to have her drop dead. I wouldn't worry about the various rumors themselves. They all have a natural extinction point.

He was replaced by Kavanaugh. Crappy reporting by USA Today.
