Does anybody know if they even have a blueprint for "the wall"?

With that dipshit about to declare a national emergency to build this stupid wall it occurred to me that there has been no talk of an actual plan. Do they have any kind of schematics on what they are trying to do here?

Is there a project proposal or cost estimate of things that actually need to be done at some specific location that requires the set amount that shit for brains is asking for? What the hell are they going to spend billions of dollars on?

Moreover who are they going to give that money to for whatever the hell it is that 5.7, 7.8 or whatever point whatever billion dollars that momo wants?

The wall is never going to get built, but if the Republicans let him go through with this it's game over for them. This thing will probably get tied up in court. Once we get the presidency back we need to declare an energy emergency(renewable), climate emergency, environmental emergency, health and welfare emergency, education emergency, housing emergency.

Two can play that game, and our emergencies are all going to be 100% real and aboveboard.

cost effective way to improve border security?

You will probably never find one because the 2006 Bush fence costs mushroomed and there are still about 80 lawsuits fighting over the appropriation of the land for the 2006 fence.

Even if he got the $5.7 billion, this emergency wall will never be built before even a (God forbid) second term to 2024 because of all the lawsuits over the land - much less the time to design, construct and man it.

He's threatening to declare an emergency to address a problem with a solution that cannot be implemented during his time in office and is unlikely to ever be effective => it's absolutely INSANE!

...govt has plans they have already used.

The Mexico–United States barrier (Spanish: barrera México–Estados Unidos), colloquially called simply the Border Wall, is a series of vertical barriers along the Mexico–United States border aimed at preventing illegal crossings from Mexico into the United States.[1] The barrier is not one contiguous structure, but a discontinuous series of physical obstructions variously classified as "fences" or "walls".

Between the physical barriers, security is provided by a "virtual fence" of sensors, cameras, and other surveillance equipment used to dispatch United States Border Patrol agents to suspected migrant crossings. [2] As of January 2009, U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported that it had more than 580 miles (930 km) of barriers in place.[3] The total length of the continental border is 1,954 miles (3,145 km).
