Robert Swan Mueller III

He follows the facts, wherever they may lead. I strongly believe that he follows the letter of the law regardless of political considerations.

I read something somewhere where Mr. Mueller was having a conversation with someone who was asking him about the difficulty of something Mueller was working on. Mueller responded that nothing could be as difficult as what he endured in Vietnam.

I try to imagine what day-to-day life is like for him right now.

I wonder to what degree he realizes how many people are depending on him to get to the truth? I wonder how much this motivates him to dig as deep as possible.

Concerning his indictments and the draft report that he most certainly has started and revises daily...I wonder if he ever thinks..."How I choose to word this, how I convey this information, has a strong possibility of changing the course of history".

I also wonder how he keeps his own morale up...here's a man who fought valiantly and was wounded for his country...and I'm guessing that he knows many things about the sheer corruption of our leaders that would devastate the average person.

My questions are somewhat rhetorical, because my feeling is that he is simply driven by "finding the truth". I think he is one of those rare people who are able to put their head down and work toward a goal without letting distractions get in his way....no matter how difficult it is, or how long it takes. I'm basing this on two considerations: 1) The indictments that he has issued so far, and 2) His ability to not say a word to the public and remained focused to the task at hand.

I wanted to write this OP to recognize Mr. Mueller as an exemplary human being.

They are disciplined in ways not often seen in such high profile cases and that certainly comes from the top. Given his career in DOJ, he knew each of the people selected and their work ethic and professionalism before bringing them onto the team.

There will be nothing like we saw from Ken Starr or James Comey.

Imagine that. SWAN Mueller could be Trump's SWAN song?

I sleep much better at night, knowing that Mueller is on the job, that's for sure.

A tradition my own family has followed for a few generations, although it's usually a daughter with the mother's maiden name.

and judging Mr. Mueller based on public knowledge, I surmise that, while he may take momentary satisfaction in some of the actions so far, he is still diligently focused on his assigned task. And therefore, I envision him as determined, diligent, satisfied, proud of his team. He may high five the other attorneys now and then when a conclusion is reached, but you’ll Never see that demeanor displayed in public. In fact, if what’s coming out is upheld as the truth, he and the team are probably heartsick to see firsthand what transpired in their beloved nation. JMO

It's in the job description.

Also, a commisioned officer, unlike enlisted soldiers, is never "out" of the service. They can be called to active duty at any time if deemed necessary.

his team has the traits that people seek in a president. Imagine that. Yet they are tasked with investigating a person who is probably the worst candidate for the office EVER. It has to be really disappointing to turn over each rock, and see the slime underneath attached to this traitor in the WH. I can hardly wait for the truth to be exposed. I am certain others besides tRump will be charged. McConnell is up to his eyeballs in corruption in this administration. Overdue time for him to be exposed. All the truly decent, hardworking people investigating this corrupt administration have more integrity ingrained in them than the entire administration combined.

and family. All the birthdays he's missed, family dinners where he has eaten food left in the oven warming. All the sacrifices he and his family has made for the good of our country. I'm grateful to him and his staff, so grateful! I visualize kind hands rubbing his neck and shoulders, a cloak of warmth around his shoulders, and a cup of tea.

Employee assistance program....

I feel like he's going to be stressed out over this for the rest of his life.... He's literally got the weight of the world on his shoulders.....

I also hope very quickly he retires afterwards, that he is kept completely safe.....

14. Change history?

Mueller is MAKING that history, not changing it. It hasn't happened yet. Hopefully because of his idealism "future" history won't need changing.

The people in Sweden who comprise the Nobel Prize Organization - those who create categories for the Prize - just might have to add a new category.

Not sure what they'd call it but whatever it will be, Mueller should be the first and hopefully only needed future recipient of it.
